Hi fans,
It’s been a while. I know I know. You’re mad at me for leaving you, you miss my classes, I abandoned you, yadayadayada — talk to your therapist about it.
I’m writing you because a dear friend of mine and former SoulCycle co-worker, Brian Falgoust, has reached out for help. About a year ago, he relocated to New Orleans for a job opportunity and to be closer to family. As many of you know, NOLA was hit hard by hurricane Ida this week and many people are without the most basic necessities: food, water, electricity, shelter. And I’m sure you can guess what populations are most impacted: poor, people of color, the forgotten.
This is where you come in…
Yes, you could choose an organization to donate your money to for tax purposes. But the reality is that it takes too long for that money to trickle down to the people that actually need it most and need it NOW. What if there was a way to get the money directly to those folks in need? Well, there is! Brian is on the ground in NOLA, along with his sister, delivering aid in the form of gas money, food, and again BASIC necessities, to people in Houma, Thibodaux, Chackbay, LaPlace, Destrehan, and Lutcher — communities hit hardest by Ida. If you have the ability (which I know all you rich bitches do) donate to his relief fund by venmo-ing Brian @brianfalgoust. No your donation will not be matched, no you won’t get a receipt, but please trust that whatever you give, in any amount, will be useful and essential to helping people survive. To clarify, this money is will not go to Brian, he and his family are fine. Others in his community, not so much. It’s heartbreaking and devastating. We have to help.
If you have any questions, feel free to reply to this email or reach out to Brian directly via IG @brian.p.f
With so much love,
